perplexed...
its another one of those entries where i have nothing to talk about other than basketball.. a flurry of free agent signings and trades have been going on and some have left me utterly perplexed! the biggest news so far, the Shaq to Miami for Lamar, Brian, & Caron.. most people would say this is a great trade for Miami but i disagree, first they're getting an overweight 32 year old center who seems to refuse to get into shape and is very prone to injuries because he's out of shape, some may argue that he is the most dominant player the league has ever seen and i agree but that was a couple of years ago, it was only during parts of the playoffs that shaq was actually the shaq of old, second they give up Lamar Odom who had a breakout season last year and could easily dominate in the east, don't care much for Grant or Butler as Grant's contract was holding the Heat down and Butler's sophmore slump was enough for him to be included in the trade, and lastly, shaq's contract is bigger than he is! 27 million next year and he's asking for a contract extension?! who can the heat possibly get after they give shaq the extension, and give Wade max money when he becomes a restricted free agent?! oh well... should be exciting seeing Wade and Shaq dominate the east, that is if Shaq can stay healthy... other questionable signings include Utah's offer to Okur for 50 MILLION! Golden State's offer to Foyle for 41 MILLION! and in a way Nash's offer for 60 million. Okur is a stiff who didn't even play that much once Wallace came to town, Foyle was a backup center to Dampier for all the time he was in Golden State, and Nash is getting old.

The Boozer issue, i think both sides made a mistake, the Cavs should've never let him go on the market and Boozer should've kept his word, but when you're guna be offered almost 30 million more dollars what can you do? greed gets in the way and the money starts talking to you..

Kobe is yet to sign, Q Rich could be going to Phoenix, Martin could be going to Denver, and a guy who has no knees gets 32 million! only in the NBA..

last words...
i think i should've been born Japanese, my rationale... Baseball is their sport over there, it doesn't really matter if your short in Baseball, and i love Japanese food! Jay and i have suddenly become batting cage addicts although the pain in my neck is telling me to stop, i just can't such a great feeling hitting the crap out of those balls!
