The curse of the great bambino.. broken
i'm not from boston and i'm not particularly a big sox fan, but i am happy that the empire has finally been defeated, it gets kind of boring seeing the same team be in the world series almost every year..i guess the yanks are kind of like the chicago bulls of the 90's and the threepeat lakers, they all had their loyal following but the rest of the world was tired of seeing them win all the time, i guess i'd have to be in the same boat as those who were tired of seeing them win, well except for the bulls cuz michael is just.. well if God were to play basketball i think he'd make his game like mike's... okay enough of that, but i am glad to see the yankees out of the world series.. its been quite an amazing ALCS and NLCS as well.. David Ortiz that fat tubby DH sure pulled off some big hits in games 4-6, Johhny Damon's game was just sick for game 7, 1 grand slam, another homer and in total 6 RBI's.. sick.. what i just could not understand was why Francona put in Pedro "who's your daddy?" Martinez?! he gave up two runs and gave some life to the relatively dead yankee stadium.. all of us sudden they were all alive screaming "Who's your daddy?" and had got two runs in one inning while the previous 6 they only got 1 of Lowe.. anyway... the curse was finally broken and now its Boston vs. St. Louis.. sounds like a good world series coming up..

last words...
it would only be appropriate to end this entry with some entries from my favorite sportswriter Bill Simmons, The Sports Guy he's a die hard boston fan and one of the funniest writers out there.. enjoy...

The Struggling Johnny Damon (his extended name all week) smacked an astounding grand slam, my personal favorite moment of the night, only because it came from nowhere and sparked a two-minute long celebration of high-fiving, chest-bumping and general idiocy.

"I almost started crying that inning," Sully said after it was over. "Is this what it feels like to be a girl?"

Red Sox were celebrating at Yankee Stadium. Have I mentioned that yet? We were doing our own celebrating at The Office, reacting like college kids in Cancun who just found out that Lindsay Lohan was entering a wet T-shirt contest that night.

ray
kudos to rins for letting me know about this movie, just saw jamie foxx on jay leno and saw a clip from the movie and the movie looks like its guna be a winner! jamie foxx is good, i've always thought he was funny but now he's showing everyone that he's a great actor.. like rins i really wana check the movie out when it comes out..

last words...
both the national league and american league series are turning out to be gems after a boring and lopsided beginning, jeff kent's homer in the 9th of the houston vs. st. louis series was just awesome, you knew once he hit it that it was out..classic..
