lenten sacrifices... as the lenten season officially begins tomorrow with ash wednesday, so will my lenten sacrifice, at least i hope.. it what may be a feeble attempt, i will give up pork and all sorts of soft drinks and iced tea.. this both a good sacrifice as i absolutely love pork and being filipino pork is everywhere so thus a good sacrifice for God and for my body.. the soft drinks and iced tea will also be hard as there is nothing like a great ice cold coke with a warm meal.. but maybe these sacrifices will also help me lose more weight and keep fit.. i'm such a liar! as i'm typing this i'm chomping down on a very rich and sweet chocolate waffer cake.. i just hope i can get through this sacrifice cuz my will power is like my height, for those of you who know me that is not a good thing!
watched chasing amy the other day for the upteenth time, i love that movie! i love all of kevin smiths older movies like clerk, mallrats, and chasing amy.. what's so great about them is that there are subtle referrences to the earlier movies and if you've watched them all you'll know what they're talking about..not to mention that all of those movies are hilarious! especially clerks!
