greatest fear... watched the premiere (man i hope i spelled that right!) of Coach Carter thanks to jay and the rest of the solar sports group.. pretty good movie, plus the fact that it was based on a true story and was about basketball made it all the more appealing to me.. pretty entertaining as well and at times funny, samuel l is the man and at times i was hoping he was guna bust some Shaft s*$# but i had to remember this wasn't Shaft.. damn..i'm just rambling now because i need a break, thank goodness the Suns won at least one game, but i doubt they can win the series, though i was reading espn.com today and they reminded me that the red sox came back from a 3-0 deficit to the empire (yankees) who i think are quite similar to the spurs, you love to hate them but no matter what, every year they always seem to have a legitimate chance of winning the championship.. damn..i just hope it does not end up as a spurs vs. pistons finals because if it does its guna be a snoozeville finals.. miami vs. phoenix, now that would be a finals but highly unlikely to happen.. but you never know...
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our dark that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people don't feel insecure around you.We are all meant to shine as children do. Its not just in some of us; its in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsiously give other people to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." a quote from Marianne Williamson said by Timo Cruz in the movie
last words.. a qreat quote, but are we really afraid of how powerful we can be? my greatest fear is failing in whatever i do, but i'd love to fear how great i can be...on another note was walking around the mall during lunch today and a little kid caught my attention as he was persistently asking his dad, "why?", just made me laugh for some reason, kids are great, so innocent, so curious, and so oblivious (at times) to whats going on in the world.. i can't wait till my nieces and nephews start asking me questions.. i just pray i'll be smart enough to answer them...
